Ducks

Ducks are cute aquatic birds found in and near lakes, ponds, and rivers. The word "duck" comes from the Old English word "duce" which meant "diver" after the way ducks tend to dive for food.

Why are ducks yellow?

There is no species of duck that is actually yellow. Only domesticated ducklings (baby ducks) are yellow. Most ducklings are camouflaged (grey or brown with white speckles) to protect them from wild animals.
