Personalised art is a great gift idea. People love receiving gifts which shows that the person giving the gift has thought about them.

How it works

How it works is as follows; You upload a photograph of yourself or your baby to the website that is going to personalise your gift. You may have to purchase the item before you are contacted by the company. It may be easier to send the photograph by email. When the company receives your photo they will resize it and place it in the art work. Ensure that you're photo is a high-resolution photo taken with a good quality camera. The company will then post you the finished product.

Doing it yourself

You could try to be creative and personalise the art yourself. There are many companies on the web that will let you upload a photo and view it as it would appear on a mug or t-shirt. You will need to know how to use photo editing software such as Photoshop or even free photo editing software, for example Picasa from Google™ might do the trick. Customised hoodies are popular as are customised mugs - although these may not be of the quality you desire if you wish to give it as a gift.
