The Wedge Boot

The wedge boot is a modern fashion symbol. A boot with a thick heel in the shape of a wedge at the back of the boot or shoe - typically single molded soles. Combine the modern contemporary fashions of high-heel platform style boots and funky garden wellies and the result is the wedge wellie! Awesome design. Wedge Wellies in fashion

Wedge wellies are Wellington boots with a raised solid heel. Wearing wellies as a fashion statement has become the vogue these days and it should come as no surprise to street-savvy fashionistas that the humble garden wellie has evolved to become what is essentially an everyday office boot. Expect to see more wedge wellies on the high street in the months and years to come. We also think tassels and fancy buckles will become increasingly popular on wellies, purely for the sake of removing wellies from the garden once and for all; no gardener in the right mind would wear high-heels with tassels and fancy buckles to a muddy field - or would they? :) Then again, wearing fancy boots in mud does appeal to some. ;)
