How to use the boot dryer

The boots are placed on top of the dryer and air is blown into the boots. Increased air-flow allows the moisture in the fabric or lining of the boots to evaporate faster. Bacteria breed faster in damp and dark conditions - exactly like the inside of wet wellie boot! Some boot dryers use ionised air to increase the drying speed.

Other ideas for drying shoes and boots

Dry your boots with reusable moisture absorbing balls that are put into boots and absorb moisture from the inside of the boot. These drying balls can be kept in your car and placed into your boots after a day out in the wet mud. Metal wellington boot stand dryer or wooden boot stand dryer are non-electrical (natural air drying) boot dryers that have pegs to put your boots on. This is the best way to dry boots. Drying rubber too rapidly may cause damage to the rubber. Air drying in a dry area is the best way to dry rubber boots. Avoid direct sunlight - as UV causes the rubber to bio-degrade.
