Golden Gumboot (Tully, Australia)
Located in Lion's Park, on Butler Street in Tully you'll find the "Golden Gumboot".
The Golden Gumboot in Tully is 7.9 meters high. The boot is made of fibreglass and has a staircase to the top of the boot.
The boot was built on this spot in Tully on 10 May 2003.
The highest rainfall in Tully was 7900 mm - which is the same height as the Golden Gumboot. In fact, the gumboots height
was chosen to show how high the rainfall was in 1950! The gumboot cost $90,000 Australian dollars to build.
