Flat pack coat stands

Flat pack coat stands are incredible inventions; who would ever have thought of posting a coat stand in a small box and assembling it to form a Victorian style coat stand.

You assemble the coat stand by screwing or pushing together short tubular sections of the pole and attach the feet and coat hooks at the end of the process. See this page for instructions on putting together a classic bentwood coat stand. Here's a link to the image showing the assembly instructions on their website.

The designers of the flat pack coat stand must have sold thousands of these wood-like coat saving devices. Well done to them.

Description of video

We found this video on youtube a while back. It may be of interest to you if you've just bought a coat stand and you don't know how to assemble it. The video shows some kids sitting on floor, opening coat stand box, taking out parts, taking off plastic wrapping, assembling pieces, putting base together, dad/brother walks in, base is complete, stand is complete, hangs a jacket on the stand to test. It shows how to assemble a flat-pack coat stand.
