The London Design Festival was established in 2003 as an annual event to celebrate and promote London and the UK's design creativity. It is an umbrella brand that brings together a diverse and unique group of partner organisations from across a range of sectors to stage London's biggest annual design event. Each year it enables new collaborations which bring exciting new projects covering every aspect of the creative industry and beyond.
During the London Design Festival
2006
, Karen Henry presented a designer
window installation for
Gap Kids
.
The design exhibition and window installation included The Boot Kidz Cement Wellington Boots Clothes Stands by Karen Henry.

Each Boot Kid is the outline of a cartoon character standing in concrete Wellington Boots. The boots are dyed and the frame is electro-painted to produce a high-quality interior design furniture product.
The Boot Kidz exhibition was located at Gap Kids in Regent Street in 2006. London's finest shopping is done in the most upmarket clothes shops, toy stores, and boutiques in the world.
