Growth Charts

Growth charts let parent's measure the progress of their children's growth.

How to measure

Place a ruler or book on your child's head and ensure the ruler or book is horizontal. Ensure your child is standing up straight, shoulders back, and eyes looking straight ahead. Use a marker and either write or etch a line at the ruler's position. Marks are made against a wooden stand (or door frame) or paper wall chart. The date of the measurement is also written next to the mark. It is not uncommon that the second child in a family will grow faster and be taller than the first. Idea: Take a photo and place it at the mark.
