Clothes rails usually have a horizontal bar from which clothes hang. The clothes are usually placed onto the rail using clothes hangers. Clothes rails are also found in clothes shops – but these are the professional clothes rails that can support many items of clothing.

Children's Garment Racks
Children's clothes rails are smaller and designed to carry only a few smaller items of clothing. These mini-garment racks are ideal for drying clothes or preparing clothes for the next day's adventure. What to consider when buying a children's clothes rail?
Children’s clothes rails are fun and improve any child’s bedroom. When choosing a clothes rail, look out for the following design points:
- The horizontal bar needs to be sturdy to support many clothes.
- The distance from the floor is important as this will constrain the length of the clothing that can be placed on the rail.
- The overall height of the clothes stand may be important to you. Do you want your child to hang up their own clothes? Can they reach the rail?
- The topple factor. Are the support devices adequate to prevent the clothes rail from toppling over?
